Best Fried Eggs You have Ever Made

I am not an egg person, never have been. I have always hated eggs. Then my kids decided they were eggy people. Eggy as my kids call them. Now, I have no choice but to be an egg person.

My mother-in-law made Dylan fried eggs or sunny-side up eggs as we call them on the east coast. Fried eggs quickly became her favorite thing to request every morning. She wanted them daily– so much so I had to make a rule, only eggs on the weekend.

I quickly came up with the best, quickest way to make fried eggs. You and your kids will love it!

The real secret ingredient is using silicon rings to make the eggs. I found these on Amazon for around $8– comes with 4 rings and a spray brush. These rings making fried eggs so much easier– highly recommend for peace of mind.

Here’s what you need:

  • Small Frying Pan
  • Silicon Egg Ring
  • 1 Tablespoon of Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Egg
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Pinch of Pepper
  • Pinch of Cheese — any cheese you like. Our favorite cheese is the Trader Joe’s Shredded 3 Cheese Blended

In the small frying pan, add oil to a medium heated pan. Once the oil is hot, add the silicon ring. Then crack the egg on the side of the pan carefully dropping the egg into the ring.

Let the egg cook for a few minutes. Watch it carefully to make sure it does not over cook. Depending on your stove, it can cook quickly.

Then add salt, pepper, and cheese. Let the cheese melt.

Turn off the pan, let sit for 1-2 minutes and carefully transfer the egg from the pan to the plate. Serve with bread so you can easy enjoy the yolk.

Best fried egg in less than 8 minutes. Comment below if you make it for your family.
